YOU Are Only As Strong As YOUR Weakest Link

At BPC we are about results! BIG RESULTS!! If you want the most out of your off-season don’t train under a program that is designed for your “Group”. Train with professionals that will design a training program specifically for you.

Strength and Conditioning Coach Mike Bystol and Charles Poliquin have over 50 years combined experience-training athletes. The first step in developing speed, power, strength and agility is fixing the weak links in the human chain. Every athlete has weaknesses within their movement patterns. These weaknesses could be flexibility, muscular or structural, mechanical or imbalances of strength between muscle groups. These imbalances could be from a past injury or most likely from repetitive patterns within your sport. If these weaknesses are not addressed in the first phase of the athletes program, results will be limited and the risk of injury will actually be increased.

Structural Balance

All athletes entering the Bystol Performance Center will go through our world-renown Advanced Athletic Assessment. BPC’s exclusive testing process allows our professional coaches to evaluate an athlete’s abilities and identify any weaknesses or potential areas for injury. Power, speed, agility, strength, flexibility and body composition are all tested to give us a baseline of where the athlete is prior to beginning the program.

The data is then analyzed by our Certified P.I.C.P. Coaches and a personalized workout and nutrition program is designed. Strength and speed programs are frequently changed during the course of the program to create continuous stress and demand on the athlete’s muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and nervous system.

BPC advanced assessment, superior program design, individual attention and top level coaches guarantees each and every athlete will be given the opportunity to reach their full athletic potential.

Training Program

The program begins with assessment and testing of upper and lower body strength, structural balance, a vertical jump, as well as a 12-point body fat analysis. All of these results go into the individualized program design for the elite athlete. The off-season program consists of four phases lasting four weeks each. Phases can be also tailored to meet individual time frames

Phase 1 - Structural Balance
Phase 2 - Accumulation and Hypertrophy
Phase 3 - Intensification and Strength
Phase 4 - Power and Plyometrics

Nutrition Program

In order for the body to perform optimally and recover and rebuild quickly, proper nutrition for the individual must be addressed. Nutrition zooms in to look at functioning on the biochemical level and addresses nutrient deficiencies and metabolic disorders.

  • Biosignature 12-point body fat goes beyond standard body fat testing to reveal insight into your hormonal profile based on where your body stores fat. Biosignature was developed by Charles Poliquin after years of working with athletes and based on scientific evidence.
  • Health history evaluation is given to make known any complaints, daily energy levels, sleep patterns, and genetic risk factors.
  • A variety of functional medicine tests can be used to further address issues surrounding the athlete’s performance.
    • Adrenal stress/phase of adrenal exhaustion and hormone imbalances
    • Metabolic Typing evaluation to eliminate foods not suited for each specific client
    • Food allergy testing
    • Hair analysis
  • A customized protocol of professional brand nutritional supplements is given to the athlete and updated throughout the season depending on changing needs.
