Al Owens, Director of Junior Golf Instruction
Al Owens has been class “A” member of the PGA for 20 years. His accomplished golf instruction background has included teaching golfers of all levels such as coaching high school teams to state championships, personally creating and marketing his special inner golfer development coaching programs and authoring several golf instruction books on player development.
Al has previously served as a Master Instructor for Resort Golf Schools in Scottsdale, AZ and most recently was the Director of Instruction at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club located just outside Indianapolis, IN. where his teaching programs were awarded with The Best of the Region by Indy North Magazine.
A native of Indiana, he has served as the Head Professional Sand Creek Country Club and Director of Golf at The Brassie Golf Club, both located in Chesterton, IN.
Al is a published author, lecturer and seminar presenter and has previously written weekly golf instruction articles for two suburban Chicago newspapers and has been featured in PGA Magazine.
