BPC Strength Coach
Brian Thompson has been working for Bystol Performance for over four years. Brian’s interest in strength and conditioning began at Texas A&M University where he played varsity football as an inside linebacker. He was forced into early medical retirement due to a back injury. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management.
Upon completion of his studies at Texas A&M, Brian became the director of fitness at Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, as well as, the Strength and Conditioning Director for SportsCARE USA in Tyler, TX.
Brian earned his Master of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi where he served as a strength and conditioning coach working with all varsity sports. Thompson then moved to Orlando, FL to work with world renowned strength and speed coach, Tom Shaw, of Tom Shaw Performance/Nike SPARQ. During this time in Florida, Brian worked with collegiate level football players preparing for the NFL Combine, as well as, current NFL Players preparing for their upcoming season.
After his time in Florida, Brian moved to Chicago, IL to train individuals at Bystol Performance Center as both a strength and conditioning coach and speed coach.
His clientele roster ranges from the general public who are trying to get healthier, athletes of all ages looking to become stronger and more powerful, and weekend warriors preparing for events such as the Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, or Warrior Dash.
