Steve’s Certifications Include:
NASM Certified Personal Trainer:
Basic Personal training course which certifies a person to perform fitness training services.
Poliquin International Certification Program Level 1 and Level 2:
Based on the concept of Structural Balance which is an evaluation system that looks at strength ratios between muscle groups to ensure optimal performance and injury prevention. The results are then used to individualize the training program to achieve effective results. This has given me unsurpassed skills in teaching methodology, client assessments and program design.
Certified BioPrint Practitioner:
BioPrint is a measurement system that assesses body fat at 14 different sites on the body. The information is then used as a tool to measure progress as well as providing insight into the hormonal reasons body fat is being stored at each specific sight. The practitioner is then able to recommend proper lifestyle, nutritional, and exercise changes for each client to efficiently reach their goals
Crossfit Level 1:
Crossfit is essentially high intensity training that is performed in some sort of circuit fashion. My curiosity and passion drove me to complete this course. Although I don’t utilize this certification as my primary training method, I believe the additional knowledge makes me a well rounded Strength and Conditioning Coach.
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS):
Currently working towards this certification that requires a college degree in a fitness related field. This course focuses heavily on exercise physiology and the science behind how the body works.
